Mission Statement

The New Mexico Film Society has been formed with the following missions:

  • To provide programs, services and education for individuals in the State who are interested in film as an art form and for the pleasure of viewing; or who appreciate the history of film and particularly the history of film in New Mexico. To that end, the Society will provide to its members, and to the general public, screenings of significant films; seminars; panel presentations and publications.
  • The Society will actively promote the interests of the film industry in the State by supporting the various State funded and managed rebate, training and loan programs; and by coordinating with the film community in the State to further its interests.

Help Shape the New Mexico Film Society

Please let us know what interest you have in a New Mexico Film Society. Right now we are putting it all together, and value any suggestions or referrals you may have for potential members of a Board of Directors or an Advisory Board (yourself included), or simply somebody we ought to be in touch with.

Thank you for your input.
